UN decides to hold high-level meeting on universal health coverage

United Nations, August 18: The UN General Assembly on Tuesday adopted a resolution for the convening of a high-level meeting on universal health coverage in 2023.
The resolution decides that the one-day high-level meeting will be held at UN Headquarters in New York on the third day of the General Debate of the 78th session of the General Assembly.
It further decides that the high-level meeting shall approve a concise and action-oriented political declaration, agreed in advance by consensus through inter-governmental negotiations.
