Ministry of Finance marks Zayed Humanitarian Day

Abu Dhabi [UAE], April 11: Mohamed Bin Hadi Al Hussaini, Minister of State for Financial Affairs, said that the Ministry of Finance, renews its pledge to follow in the footsteps of the late Sheikh Zayed under the vision of our wise leadership, through drawing strategic plans and initiatives that cement the UAE's position in the field of humanitarian and development work.
The minister made the remarks in a statement marking Zayed Humanitarian Day.
"Every year, the UAE people celebrate Zayed Humanitarian Day on the 19th of Ramadan, which marks the anniversary of the passing of the UAE's Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. Today, we recall the approach of the founding father who consolidated the culture of giving for more than 50 years, and we are inspired by the values of benevolence and giving that he instilled in our hearts. Our wise leadership and the UAE people will continue on the path laid by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, which made the UAE a model of giving to be emulated across the world," he added.
For his part, Younis Haji Al Khoori, Undersecretary of Ministry of Finance, said that the MoF continues working to achieve the humanitarian goals set by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and to contribute to attaining further milestones in this field. "We will accomplish these ambitions by launching numerous development programmes, projects and initiatives aimed at supporting global humanitarian efforts and providing a decent life for all."
