Seoul [South Korea], June 15: Regarding the view that possessing striking beauty is also a disadvantage, Kim Tuyen disagrees. According to her, "if that were true, then beauty salons, skincare products, and cosmetics wouldn't be so popular." The actress from "Love Story on Pearl Island" believes that everyone wants to be more beautiful, and that's perfectly normal.
"What's important is how each person faces life 's challenges . If a person is both beautiful and strong enough to overcome difficulties, that beauty becomes even more valuable, because it's a combination of external and inner beauty," Kim Tuyen confided.
When asked about the limitations of having a beautiful face in embodying different characters, Meritorious Artist Kim Tuyen said that it depends on the specific script and character. According to her, from the audience's perspective, when engaging with the seventh art, people want to appreciate beauty. From camera angles, framing, settings, costumes to the actors, everything contributes to the aesthetic value of the work. "Cinema is an art form, so beauty is always a definite advantage," she confided.
Kim Tuyen doesn't mind making herself look unattractive for the sake of her character.
Kim Tuyen said that when working in the industry, she doesn't mind making herself look unattractive on screen. The actress shared that once she accepts a role, the most important thing is the character. According to the 8X actress, if the character requires a different appearance from her everyday image, she is still willing to change. The actress from " Love Story on Pearl Island " confessed: "I don't see it as making myself look bad. For me, it's the authenticity needed to serve the character."
Meritorious Artist Kim Tuyen said she doesn't think much about increasing her professional value or remuneration through her title.
