Life of actor Thai Hoa at age 52

Hanoi [Vietnam], April 22: Behind the image of a single father facing many pressures and difficult choices in 'Hero', Thai Hoa shared more about his parenting style and daily life.
Following the success of "Battle in the Air , " Thai Hoa returns to the big screen with a role in "Hero." Directed by Vo Thach Thao, the film tells the story of a single father, a taxi driver, who gets caught up in a multi-million dollar charity scam, while his young daughter's life hangs in the balance. Besides Thai Hoa, the film also features artists Le Thien , Hong Anh, Vo Tan Phat, Phuong Thanh, and others.
One particularly noteworthy segment in the film is the scene featuring Thai Hoa and Meritorious Artist Le Thien. Meritorious Artist Le Thien revealed that during the scene where she wore a safety harness while rappelling high above the ground with Thai Hoa, she was terrified and felt breathless. However, she was "even more frightened when I heard my co-star scream and get stuck." For his part, the actor shared: "Who would have thought that when I put my leg over and lowered my center of gravity, I would get stuck in the railing? I screamed and forgot my lines."
According to Thai Hoa, although he endured pain while performing action scenes in the film, everything remained under control. He believes the film crew prioritized the safety of the actors. "The director didn't allow actors to perform dangerous scenes on their own, even if they agreed. Because just one accident could affect the entire crew. Without safety equipment, no one would dare to do it," he recounted.
Thai Hoa's private life
From the stories on screen, the actor spoke more about his personal life - which directly influences how he works. He said he doesn't see himself as a "parent," and isn't even sure he's better than his children to teach them. Instead of imposing his will, he chooses to accompany them. His children have become the factor that has changed this 70s-era actor. "Thanks to my children, I learned how to apologize, how to admit my mistakes," the actor shared.
These experiences became the emotional foundation upon which he built the character of Hung - an imperfect father who always acts instinctively to protect his child. He said he understood the difficult choices the character faced when confronted with family pressure.
Outside of work, the actor maintains a private and simple lifestyle. He doesn't feel the need to go out unless absolutely necessary, and can even stay home for a whole week when he doesn't have a filming schedule. During that time, Thai Hoa dedicates himself to familiar activities such as taking his children to school, going to the supermarket with his wife, and spending time with his family. For him, this is a way to maintain balance, instead of seeking hectic experiences.
Thai Hoa enjoys a fulfilling family life with his discreet wife. She frequently accompanies and supports him in his artistic projects. From a financial perspective, he frankly acknowledges that money is necessary in life but not the deciding factor. "How can you live without money? But money isn't everything. It's important when needed, but it's not what determines what career you pursue," Thai Hoa expressed his viewpoint.
According to the actor, the biggest challenge in acting isn't the emotionally intense scenes, but rather keeping his ego from overshadowing the character. "The hardest part is when you think you have to act well. At that moment, you're being yourself, not the character anymore," he said. Thai Hoa also admitted to feeling uncomfortable watching his own films, especially with others, for fear that the audience will "see him" instead of the character. For the 70s-born star, the success of a film comes from the work itself, not from an individual.
