Jilin sends trade delegation to Russia to expand business opportunities

Beijing [China], January 12: A trade delegation composed of more than 30 representatives of foreign trade enterprises and the government of northeastern China's Jilin province recently traveled to Russia to expand business opportunities.
The delegation will stay in the country for about ten days, holding economic and trade talks and organizing investment promotion activities with Russian industrial associations and enterprises in areas such as coal mining, seafood, agricultural products, auto parts and cross-border e-commerce.
Li Zhuang, an official at the Jilin provincial department of commerce, said the trade and economic events would help Chinese enterprises deepen cooperation with their Russian counterparts and export high-quality specialised products to the Russian market.
From January to November 2022, the province's trade volume with Russia increased by 74% compared to the same period last year.
Jilin has sent several economic and trade delegations to Malaysia, Thailand and other countries in the past month to attract more business orders and foreign investment to the province, as reported by Xinhua News Agency, a partner of TV BRICS.
