Brooklyn Beckham is being criticized for 'profiting from his family's pain'.

Hanoi [Vietnam], June 17: Expressing a desire to step away from the spotlight of the 'Beckham brand' and forge his own path, Brooklyn Beckham, the eldest son, has recently drawn public criticism for continuing to exploit the darker aspects of his family to boost his own fame and make money.
According to the Daily Mail , a wave of criticism erupted immediately after the release of Brooklyn Beckham's (27) new promotional video for a delivery app. In the clip, Brooklyn appears with a smirk and a suggestive narration: "You're probably wondering why I'm watching the 2026 World Cup at home... It's a long story." Furthermore, the video incorporates many biting satirical details, such as a new watch placed on top of a £250,000 Patek Philippe watch gifted by David Beckham, or a stack of mail from home being tossed aside.
Brooklyn Beckham faces criticism.
This move immediately drew a strong backlash from fans. Many bluntly commented: "If you hate your parents so much, just drop the Beckham name and stop profiting from it," "The only reason you have advertising contracts is because you're a Beckham, how ironic"... Many opinions suggested that reviving the conflict to receive a lucrative advertising fee was excessive and insensitive.
The Daily Mail, citing a close source, revealed that former football star David Beckham and his wife Victoria were completely "heartbroken" after seeing the advertisement. The Beckham family conflict escalated when his 14-year-old sister, Harper, traveled to his Beverly Hills mansion to deliver a letter, but Brooklyn wasn't home. Shortly afterward, Brooklyn and his wife, Nicola Peltz (31), unexpectedly accused their parents of "orchestrating" Harper's visit to their house.
Responding to the accusation in the Daily Mail , friends of the power couple expressed their outrage: "It's heartbreaking that this slander is directed at an innocent little girl who is simply missing her brother." In fact, at the time his sister came to visit, Brooklyn was in New York jogging instead of being in California. In contrast to their older brother's coldness, his two younger brothers, Romeo (23) and Cruz (21), continuously posted photos protecting and comforting Harper after her visit was denied.
The Beckham family began to fracture when Brooklyn was absent from his father's 50th birthday in May 2025. Earlier this year, Brooklyn released a six-page statement declaring he was cutting ties with his family, accusing his parents of controlling his privacy, deliberately trying to break up his marriage, and behaving "inappropriately" at his 2022 wedding.
Faced with the uproar over his son's accusations, David Beckham chose to remain silent and save face at the recent Hollywood Walk of Fame star ceremony. He flatly refused to answer questions about his family, saying, "I'm sorry, but that's private and the only thing I don't want to talk about."
For her part, Victoria calmly asserted that these controversies would not affect her fashion business, because customers choose to buy products for their actual quality, not because of her name.
