Kathmandu [Nepal], April 4 (ANI): Three new people have tested positive for the coronavirus infection -- COVID-19 -- in Nepal, the Ministry of Health and Population confirmed on Saturday, taking the total tally of the virus-related infection to nine in the country.
Among them is a 21-year-old male of Kailali, who returned from Mumbai in India, a 41-year-old male of Kanchanpur, who returned from Uttarakhand in India, while the third one a 34-year-old female from Kailali, known to be a relative of one of the earlier infected persons, reported The Himalayan Times.
This is the first case of local transmission in the country.
A 34-year-old man, who recently returned from Dubai, had tested positive for the coronavirus, becoming the fourth Nepali to have contracted the disease.
