Fugitive heroin smuggling feline escaped from Sri Lanka prison found

Colombo (Sri Lanka) Aug 5: The fugitive feline, escaped from Sri Lanka's high security Welikada Prison in Colombo after it was detained for smuggling heroin into the prison premises, has been found, the prison officials said.
The Prison intelligence officers had taken the cat into custody a few days ago when it was walking into the prison premises with a suspicious packet tied around its neck.
Upon seizing the cat, the prison officials found two small packets of nearly 2 grams of heroin, two SIM cards and a memory card in the polythene pack tied around the cat's neck.
The police believe the drug traffickers have trained the cat and deployed to the prison to deliver drugs to inmates.
The cat was detained in the hope of finding the drug smugglers' base. However, the cat escaped when the prison officers opened the cell door to feed him, local media reported.
The cat has been found today roaming around the prison premises, the officials confirmed.
